Orion is proud to share that a photograph taken in the field by Andrew Valentino, PE, a senior airport engineer based in our Boston office, has been selected for inclusion in the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) 2026 Picture Calendar.
The image appears in the February 2026 spread and was captured at Boston Logan International Airport during phase four of the Taxiway N Rehabilitation Project. The photograph shows rollers completing final compaction at the close of a day’s paving. It’s a moment that reflects the precision, teamwork, and dedication behind every successful airfield project.
Recognizing Airfield Engineering Excellence in New England
While the AAAE calendar celebrates striking visuals from airports across the country, this image also tells a deeper story. It reflects the careful coordination, technical precision, and long hours required to deliver safe and durable airfield infrastructure in an active airport environment.
For Andrew, the photo represents a familiar scene rather than a staged moment—one that highlights the collaboration between engineers, inspectors, contractors, and airport staff that makes complex aviation projects possible across New England and the broader East Coast region.
The Taxiway N Rehabilitation Project at Boston Logan International Airport is one of many airfield improvement efforts supported by Orion’s aviation and airport engineering team. Orion provides planning, design, and construction-phase services for runway, taxiway, and apron projects at airports throughout the Northeast and across the country, supporting safe operations and long-term infrastructure performance.
AAAE’s annual calendar showcases the people and places that keep airports operating safely and efficiently. Being selected is an honor not only for Andrew, but also for the broader Orion team whose work contributes to critical aviation infrastructure improvements nationwide.
We congratulate Andrew on this recognition and are proud to see Orion’s work at Boston Logan International Airport featured alongside aviation projects from across the industry.
